GEONOVUS is a fully hosted web-mapping application that integrates with the client’s automatic vehicle locating (AVL) system and Geographic Information System (GIS) to improve operational awareness and provide real-time information to the public.
The internal application is designed to support dispatchers and operations managers performing street maintenance with access to a real-time view of each vehicle in the fleet and the vehicle’s status (i.e. plowing, salting, mowing, sweeping, etc.). It also provides robust mapping capabilities and a performance metrics dashboard that shows the percent of streets treated (plowed, salted, both) during active weather events.
GEONOVUS also includes a public facing web application which is simple and easy to use. It is fully mobile responsive, optimized for smart phone browsers, and does not require a separate application to be installed.
GEONOVUS provides decision makers such as Public Works Directors, real-time information on a user-friendly dashboard. The dashboard allows them to gauge and manage snow events.
Decision makers can then understand where resources are being deployed, search truck history by interacting with the dashboard and generate custom reports to inform decisions.
The real-time dashboard can be configured to control what elements other users can see. Users can track treatment activity, monitor miles of treatment and measure performance metrics per snow event.
Leaf collection, mowing, and street sweeping are a few types of work that are tied to street segments and utilize city vehicles and resources. They can be tracked much like snowplows are and this functionality is supported by GEONOVUS today.
GEONOVUS can be configured to display traffic messages from a Department of Transportation (DOT) feed. In addition, it can interface with a vehicle camera feed to show live road conditions, arming your constituents with a wealth of information to make good travel decisions.
